Audio broadcast from missionary radio station HCJB in Quito, Ecuador about the missing men. Analog tape audio cassette, 20 minutes. January 11, 1956. "...official news report concerning the missing five missionaries in the Amazon jungle." Speakers on the recording include Clarence Jones, president of the World Radio Missionary Fellowship, and Abe Van der Puy, field director of HCJB radio station and president of the Inter-Faith Mission Fellowship of Ecuador. Van Der Puy broadcasted directly from Shell Mera and his program was recorded and rebroadcast by Jones from HCJB in Ecuador. They describe what was known about the attempt of the five men to reach the Waorani and the plans to send a search party to find out what had happened to them.
